Master in Dietetics and Nutrition + 5 ECTS credits

Today, the concern for everything that refers to dietary and human nutrition is already very high and is justified by a series of factors, among which we highlight a greater demand for quality of life in contemporary western society that translates into the search for a better diet, healthier and more balanced. The appropriate diet to enjoy good health is the result of the application of basic knowledge that demonstrates the links between the intake of certain foods with some pathologies, such as cardiovascular diseases, arteriosclerosis, obesity, diabetes ... etc. With this master's student, the student will be able to plan balanced menus and adapted to the recipient and their characteristics, attending to their nutritional needs, life habits, etc.

-Conciance about the preventive nature that optimal nutrition has on some diseases. -Pose a reasoned knowledge of the organism's energy and nutritional needs. -Study the nutritional aspects, sources and recommended intakes of the different nutrients. -Define nutritional needs in the different stages of life and physiological periods: maternal-infant feeding, child nutrition, dietary and nutrition in the elderly. -Define nutritional needs in the practice of sport. -Ak and value different eating disorders: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and obesity. -Plassify balanced menus in your energy and nutritional contribution for various communities.

This Master aims to provide the student with the technical and theoretical training in nutrition, which not only contemplates the basic information about nutrients and the metabolic functions of the same, but also includes everything related to the purposes of nutrition in the maintenance of the state of health and in the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Aimed at university degrees in the health branch interested in directing their professional career towards the development of one of the most future professions: dietitian and nutritionist. In general, all those interested in training in the field of dietary and nutrition.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
