Summary

Imaging is the specialization of medicine that deals with studying, investigating and applying different ionizing and non -ionizing radiation with different purposes, such as therapeutics or obtaining diagnostic images. To put into practice these techniques are required a series of knowledge not only at the scientific and sanitary level, but also in relation to the electromedicine site employees. Through this Master in Imaging, students are offered the complementary and recycling training necessary to update or expand their knowledge in this area.

Goals

- Analyze the electromedicine systems and their associated facilities, identifying the equipment and elements that compose them and the most relevant characteristics of them. - Explain the operation of different electromedicine systems from the technical documentation in order to train potential users. - Organize the provisioning for the installation of different electromedicine systems, based on projects or technical installation memories. - Analyze the necessary information to organize the installation of different electromedicine systems, based on types or technical installation projects. - Prepare a program to install an electromedicine system, based on the information of a current technical and regulatory project. - Verify that the physical space and the infrastructure where the installation is going to be carried out is according to the project, technical documentation of the manufacturer and the needs of the assembly, proceeding to its adaptation, where appropriate, applying the established procedures and means of security, with the required quality. - Receive the equipment and elements of the system to be installed, to verify that they are those indicated in the documentation. - Install the equipment and elements of the system, taking into account the location plans, assembly plans, schemes and manual manuals, applying the procedures, established security means and environmental standards, with the required quality. - Make the implementation of equipment and elements of the system, without patient, according to the manufacturer's project and technical documentation and standards applying the procedures, established means of security and in accordance with the application regulations. - Train and monitor in the operation of the system and security measures to be adopted, to the health center staff, both of the electromedicine service and to the end users. - Plan the maintenance of different electromedicine systems and their associated facilities, defining the necessary human and material resources, the interventions that must be carried out and their sequencing. - Identify and develop the protocols for functional, security and electromedicine systems and its associated facilities, based on technical documentation. - Develop maintenance management programs for different electromedicine systems and their associated facilities, from the maintenance plan. - Apply preventive maintenance techniques and monitor different electromedicine systems acting under personal safety standards and materials used. - Complete the documentation used in the maintenance of different electromedicine systems by applying current regulations. - Know the professional scope of radiology. - Study the physics of radiation and X -rays. - Know the radiological and revealing equipment used in Imaging. - Review the anatomy of the human body. - Deepen the concept of radiodiagnosis. - Delimit the differences between simple radiography, with contrast and involvement. - Analyze ultrasound and CT. - Study magnetic resonance. - Analyze the therapeutic and analytical applications of nuclear medicine. - Know the fundamental elements of radiological protection.
