Master Prevention Occupational Risks: Master in Occupational Risk Prevention + University Degree (8 ECTS credits)

This master's degree in occupational risk prevention offers specialized training in the field. We must know that the figure of the Occupational Risk Prevention Technician is developed from the promulgation of Law 31/1995, of November 8, on Occupational Risk Prevention, which is developed in its aspects of organization of prevention and in relation to access to the profession by Royal Decree 39/1997, of January 17, which approves the Regulations of the Prevention Services. These norms transpose to the Spanish legal system the harmonized legislation of the European Union. Article 37 of the RD 39/1997 establishes the functions of the Higher Level PRL technician and in Annex VI of the aforementioned RD 39/1997 the minimum content of the training program for the performance of higher level functions is established.

- Establish the essential principles and concepts of occupational risk prevention. - Know the main statistical techniques used in preventive functions. - Know the general methodology and techniques to be applied in risk assessment. - Know the main training, information, communication and negotiation techniques in occupational risk prevention - Know the importance and applications of labor medicine. - Know the general legislation applicable to the prevention of occupational hazards and the norms of labor and social security law. - Know the main techniques of prevention organization and management, as well as analyze the costs of accidents. - Know the main security techniques that allow work accidents. - Know the main industrial hygiene techniques that allow to prevent occupational diseases. - Know the main techniques to perform the evaluation and prevention of ergonomic risks. - Know the main techniques to perform the evaluation and prevention of psychosociological risks. - Know the main techniques related to occupational risk prevention.

Occupational Risk Prevention

The present Master in Occupational Risk Prevention forms the student in subjects such as the prevention of occupational hazards in the specialties of work security, industrial hygiene and ergonomics and applied psychosociology, granting students the knowledge and competencies necessary for the development of said preventive activity.

This Master in Occupational Risk Prevention is aimed at university graduates from different areas that want to develop their career in the field of occupational risk prevention or those higher technicians for the prevention of occupational hazards that want to obtain a degree.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
