Upper course in eating disorders: eating disorders (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

Childhood and, above all, adolescence, are stages in which our minors are subject to strong external pressure that squeezes and drags them to develop behaviors that can cause little beneficial consequences. One of the great threats of our minors is that related to eating habits, related to the image that is projected from abroad on the new canons of beauty and erroneous stereotypes of healthy life. Individuals who have not yet developed a strong personality, who are still under construction, are vulnerable to develop some type of eating disorder, something increasingly common, especially in adolescents of the female gender. For this reason, it becomes a special importance to have a specific training in the prevention and treatment of this type of disorders, which will allow us to intervene in an entire and effective way.

-Cok and analyze the main disorders of eating behavior, as well as the bases of disturbed food. - Justify the importance of prevention of any type of problem that affects the child, as well as the role of teachers from the school. - Know the main levels of prevention and the actions that are executed of each of them. - Know the diagnostic criteria of the TCA, as well as their main detection tools and analyze the comorbidity of the TCA. - Analyze the main conceptual models of the development of TCA and learn which are the main intervention strategies with patients who present it. - Establish the basis of a balanced diet and learn the basic concepts that allow to follow healthy eating habits.

Superior course in eating disorders, exercising as a psychotherapist in public or private centers (depending on previous training), such as primary care centers, community, individual or group intervention associations, and in private centers for treatment of food disorders.

This expert course aims to provide the student with technical and theoretical training in the field of eating disorders, especially those that develop during childhood and adolescence. Students will learn basic nutrition concepts, as well as what are the neurobiological bases of eating disorders and treatment for them, from a psychotherapeutic approach. In addition, you will know the main conceptual models that try to explanate these disorders, as well as their comorbidity.

Aimed at university degrees in the branch of psychology and social field, interested in directing their professional career towards the development of one of the most future professions: psychotherapy. In general, all those interested in clinical intervention with minors who present some eating disorder.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
