Summary
Cognitive deterioration is the loss of cognitive functions, specifically in memory, attention and information processing speed. This cognitive impairment of our brain depends on both physiological and environmental factors and is subject to great interindividual variability. This course will provide the necessary knowledge for the evaluation and diagnosis of this type of diseases, in addition to making known the different cognitive stimulation techniques and the importance of the caregiver in this context. In short, the course allows the approach to the treatment of patients with cognitive impairments, helping to improve their treatment to achieve a life improvement through the increase and enhancement of their possibilities.

To prepare you
This course prepares you to know in depth the process that should be carried out for the evaluation of patients with cognitive impairments, as well as to learn cognitive stimulation techniques based on each typology of deterioration. In addition, it allows an approach to the figure of the caregiver to also facilitate intervention with these people. In short, this course provides the necessary knowledge for the treatment of both people with cognitive impairments and their caregivers, including aspects of sociocultural animation, leisure and free time in attention to this type of disease.

This course is aimed at professionals who work in the different areas where people with cognitive impairments are found, both publicly and private. The course is also focused for people not expert in this subject, who are interested in expanding knowledge and learning the basic techniques of action and treatment against this type of disease.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
