Course in geriatric dermatology (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

Thanks to this course in geriatric dermatology you will obtain specialized training designed to provide health professionals with knowledge and skills necessary to effectively address the specific dermatological challenges of the geriatric population. Participants will acquire an integral understanding of the most common skin diseases in older adults, as well as diagnostic, treatment and care strategies of the skin in this age group. In this course you will deal with the main most common pathophysiopathological and dermatosis alterations in this population. Aging is an inevitable biological reality, it is the consequence of complex processes of accumulated cellular and molecular damage.

- Study skin peculiarities in aging and the most frequent dermatological alterations. - Understand the physiological and pathological changes that occur in the skin with aging - Develop skills for the adequate diagnosis and treatment of the most common skin conditions - Learn to evaluate and manage dermatological complications in geriatric patients

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
