Thanks to this course in pediatric nutrition in nursing, specialized training in the area of human nutrition in childhood. The ability to apply evidence -based nutrition knowledge will be acquired, and as consumption can favor protective health factors against chronic non -transmissible diseases related to life and food habits. A global vision of the most important areas where nutrition and dietary affects childhood health in each of its vital stages, and development of great recurrence pathologies in professional practice in the area of pediatric nutrition are provided.

- Study the basic principles of nutrition and endocrine system, as well as its regulation. - Analyze the characteristics of the hunger and satiety regulation system - Identify the nutritional aspects and requirements in the children's stage. - Apply nutritional needs in the different most common pathological alterations in pediatrics. - Acquire knowledge about endocrinological emergencies in pediatrics.

Professional outputs of this course in pediatric nutrition in nursing are destined to cover those positions in which specific training in pediatric and infant-juvenile nutrition, professionals-health technicians destined for both the attention of the population in primary care, clinical centers and the area of nutrition research.

This course in pediatric nutrition in nursing is intended to provide students with fundamental knowledge in relation to the main factors involved in pediatric nutrition in nursing practice such as endocrine regulation, diabetes mellitus, child nutrition, obesity, regulation of hunger and satiety, as well as the main endocrinological emergencies in pediatrics.

This course is aimed exclusively at diplomas or graduates in nursing according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
