Summary

English is a language that speaks around 400 million natives and additionally 500 million people who have English as a second language. Today, learning this language is basic and essential in any professional field. Through this English level B1 course, the student will obtain the theoretical-practical tools necessary to effectively develop in this language, in the tourism sector, in addition to strengthening work expectations communicating fluently in English. The contents of the English B1 course are adapted to the common European framework, which allows greater compatibility with other language teaching systems and facilitates the geographical mobility of the person accredited.

Goals

- Interpret oral messages of medium complexity in English, expressed by customers and suppliers at normal speed, issued in the field of tourism activity. Interpret the general aspects of messages and documents of a certain complexity written in English, received or used in the field of tourism activity, extracting the relevant information. - Collaborate during the sales processes and reservations of combined travel, excursions and transfers, and apply the established procedures, using manual or computer supports for habitual use in the sector. - Collaborate in the definition of events of events that contemplate different market segments and their specific needs, taking into account competitive advantages and identifying the most appropriate marketing roads. - Collaborate in the planning, budgeting and organization of an event, identifying the activities and tasks that are derived for the managing entity. - Collaborate in budgetary management and control within the framework of travel agencies, event management companies and other tourist distributors and tourist information entities, identify costs and collaborate in the development of economic budgets. - Observe the application of personnel integration and management techniques used in travel agencies, event management companies and tourist information and distribution units. - Collaborate in the performance of quality controls of certain services and products of hospitality and tourism and collaborate in the evaluation of the results obtained. - Communicate orally with one or several standard English interlocutors, expressing and interpreting fluently, moderately complex messages in different, formal and informal situations, typical of tourist services. - Participate in the company's work processes, following the standards and instructions established in the work center. - Understand frequent phrases and expressions related to areas of experience that are especially relevant (basic information about yourself and your family, purchases, places of interest, occupations, etc.). - Communicate when carrying out simple and everyday tasks that do not require more than simple and direct exchanges of information on issues that are known or usual. - Describe in simple aspects aspects of your past and your environment as well as issues related to your immediate needs.
