Higher program in Intercultural Mediation: Certification in mediation and conflict resolution in primary social care (double degree with 5 ECTS credits)

Spain is already an immigration country, and will continue to be in the future. Simply walk through the streets of our cities to verify how human geography is changing deeply. This new social scenario shows that the intercultural challenge constitutes a requirement for citizenship of the early 21st century. But this demand is lived and experienced by each particular individual from the existential contexts in which it is immersed (cultural, linguistic, class), and that constitutes an element of identification and differentiation with the other. This course offers specialized training and conflict resolution in primary social care.

- Make an approach to the reality of cultural diversity. - Describe the key concepts involved in mediation processes. - Present reality the conflict and its resolution in the school environment for cultural reasons. - Register and analyze the characteristics of the conflict assessing the disposition of the parties involved to participate in the intervention process. - Orient and evaluate whether the conflict is likely to go through a mediation process or if it is necessary to derive it to other existing services in the community. - Select and apply the appropriate models and techniques to the characteristics of the situation you want to address. - Perform the mediation process with the parties involved in the conflict taking into account their interests. - Define the process of valuation and monitoring of the intervention involving those involved in it. - Perform the mediation process and its results by the different agents who have participated in the process. - Perform the monitoring and evaluation of the mediation process according to the previous design to verify the adequacy of the programmed. - Offer instruments to the work team for the incorporation of mediation methods in their planning of programs and projects.

This course is aimed at psychologists, social workers, social educators, etc., who work or wish to work in the primary social care service of municipalities, councils, autonomous communities, NGOs, foundations and social care institutions, primary, etc.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
