Summary
Thanks to this introduction course to dietotherapy you will obtain specialized training to understand the fundamental principles of how food and nutrition can be used as therapeutic tools in the context of medical care and health promotion. Diet therapy is based on the fact that food can be a complement to medical therapy and treatment, to help keep the person with an optimal nutritional status and deal with pathology and/or alteration effectively, improving and accelerating their recovery. With this formation in the area of nutritional approach you will introduce yourself to the essential basic concepts for any personalized dietary pattern.

With this introduction course to dietotherapy, it is intended to provide students with a specific training on how to perform nutritional approach initially in the diet as therapy and all areas of action in which it affects. Students will acquire competences regarding diet therapy in different physiological states as different modalities of diets that are currently worked in clinical practice.
