Radiology Prevention Course: Risk Safety and Prevention in the Radiology Unit (University degree + 8 ECTS credits)

In the current labor market, it is forgotten too often, that the work is developed and the objectives are met by people with diverse abilities, motivations and expectations, so that the risks of hygienic origin cannot be ignored, caused by the pollutants present in the workplaces. In many jobs and those related to health environments, they are no exception, there may be hygienic risks, related to multiple types of pollutants, such as ionizing radiation in the case of radiology units. These pollutants can have serious repercussions on the health of the individual, causing in the worst case diseases of dramatic repercussions.

- Acquire knowledge that allows students to identify, avoid, correct and prevent specific problems that can endanger the health and integrity of workers. - Make known the basic concepts and minimum demands of the Occupational Risk Prevention Law in the health field. - Identify and analyze the different risks that can occur in each of the phases and activities carried out in the sanitary sector. - Know the main rights and obligations that health sector workers must assume in relation to risk prevention. - Study the origin and causes of occupational hazards related to ionizing radiation. - Analyze and study the different preventive measures, both at the individual and collective level, to take into account in work in the presence of ionizing radiation.

This safety and risk prevention course in the Radiology Unit is an excellent training complement, for medical and nursing students, broadcasting technicians and other professional profiles related to the management of occupational safety and health in organizations and health environments, both public and private.

With this course of safety and risk prevention in the Radiology Unit, students will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge to understand and apply the foundations of the prevention of occupational hazards in health environments, and specifically in the radiology units or in any other related work position, in which there is a risk of exposure to ionizing radiation.

This Risk Security and Prevention Course in the Radiology Unit is aimed at responsible and workers of Radiology Services, students and workers of the health sector in general or occupational safety and health, as well as owners and professionals who wish to manage the prevention of occupational hazards in organizations of the health sector.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
