Summary

The main objective of this course is to provide the student with the acquisition of professional competences that will allow him to serve the user of a library performing information and training, loan and maintenance and conservation tasks of the collection funds, developing cultural extension activities and library, taking into account quality criteria.

Goals

- Apply attention and welcome techniques to the library user, carrying out the orientation and information on the facilities and services that are available. - Apply management procedures for a library user card through the library management system. - Determine information processes on service letters and library regulations guiding the good use of facilities and quality services. - Apply techniques for the elaboration of informative materials of a library taking into account pre -established criteria. - Recognize and classify bibliographic funds according to the established criteria. - Properly manage the process of receiving bibliographic funds taking into account their typology, checking their physical status and studying possible claims. - Properly complete the identification and catalog data of the bibliographic funds. - Sort and properly place the different funds within the collection of a library, properly checking the specimens ordering sequences. - List the systems and technologies that exist in the realization of the loan assuming the advantages and disadvantages. - Analyze the process of receiving an inter -library loan depending on the different supports. List reading promotion activities by analyzing the dissemination process and using the different tools available. - Analyze what is a campaign to disseminate reading activities and know the different media used for their realization. - Properly organize and manage library activities for users with specific needs taking into account the different factors that influence their development.

To prepare you

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Professional Certificate Provision of library services, certifying having overcome the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training.

This training is aimed at all those people who are dedicated to the world of librarian, document management or research, teachers, teachers, pedagogues and to all those professionals who are interested in receiving a useful training to organize and apply techniques of organization and document management necessary for the performance of their profession.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
