Update course in Social Work Methodology: Childhood and Adolescents

The social sphere encompasses many intervention groups, but one of the most studied and of greater social concern is the scope of minors (childhood and adolescence). More and more technological advances and social changes that occur in society are more, so the attention to minors must be of vital importance in this area. Prevention through the educational system and social intervention with the help of the main bodies in charge of young people such as social services and youth justice are essential issues in the social field for the correct development of young people. For these reasons, the study of young people and the repercussions that their negative actions can have in society are an essential issue in the social branch. This course offers specialized training in social work methodology, especially in childhood and adolescence.

- Acquire basic knowledge about social work and its relationship with childhood and adolescence. - Offer an overview about the needs that minors may present as well as their social intervention. - Assimilate the models of intervention and prevention of the social risks of minors. - Know the functions of social work in the educational field and the consequences that it can have on minors. - Analyze the different types of exclusive risks that exist for minors. - Acquire the legal repercussions that crime has in minors.

This knowledge can be applied in areas related to specialized social services as well as in youth justice and finally in the school environment. The notions acquired through this course train for a social intervention in any of these areas related to minors (childhood and adolescence).

This course aims to update the contents in social work methodology, in addition to conferring the necessary knowledge for the acquisition of theoretical notions related to social work and minors. To do this, issues such as the social risks in which minors can be involved are addressed, as well as the relationship between social work and their educational field.

This course is aimed at all the people who work or are voluntary in the social field both in a public and private sphere and who are interested in the world of minors and of all aspects that are related to them: education, social services, sociocultural animation, administration of justice, etc.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
