Summary

Radiotherapy also known as radiation therapy, is a medical technique used with different purposes, mainly in the medical diagnosis by image as is the case of the use of radiographs in radiographs, as well as in the treatment of cancer, using higher radiation dose to destroy cancer cells and reduce tumors. The Superior Technician in radiotherapy and dosimetry is the professional in charge of operating the technical equipment used in this type of treatments. By means of this online course, students are offered a preparation course for access to free tests of the higher degree radiotherapy and dosimetria.

Goals

- Organize and manage the technician's work area within the radiotherapy service and/or hospital radio, according to standardized procedures and apply storage and stock control techniques. - Differentiate normal and pathological images. to basic levels, applying anatomical criteria. - Verify the operation of the equipment, applying quality and safety procedures. - Verify the quality of the medical images obtained, following criteria of suitability and quality control of the processing. - Prepare the necessary accessories and accessories for the simulation of radiotherapy treatment, using the appropriate materials. - Apply initial healthcare techniques, following the technical procedures of the unit. - Obtain images to simulate the radiotherapy treatment, using adequate accessories and accessories according to the characteristics of the patient and the body region. - Perform clinical dosimetry by virtual simulation of treatment. - Apply radiotherapy treatments following treatment optimization criteria. - Perform the physical dosimetry of the treatment equipment according to the conditions of the quality guarantee program. - Apply radiological protection procedures according to established protocols.
