Gender inequality implies one of the main barriers in the social, political and economic development of all societies. Equality policies fulfill an important function as a form of guarantee of the rights of the whole society and move towards a more equal and inclusive environment. The master's degree in gender equality and violence aims to train professionals capable of creating and applying social policies of equality and strengthening the measures of sensitization and prevention of gender violence guaranteeing existing rights and measures, as well as developing comprehensive and multidisciplinary intervention.

- Know and manage the concepts related to gender equality and their historical evolution - Contextualize equality in our environment and our time and analyze the legal framework and current policies - Understand the work reality and the challenges it raises from gender balance to family conciliation - Analyze and study the weight of education as a basic tool for awareness and awareness - addressing social intervention from the perspective of gender equality in cases Gender violence, female health, immigration etc. - Knowing comprehensive protection measures whose purpose is to prevent, sanction and eradicate situations of gender violence and provide assistance to victims.

At the end of the Master you will be prepared to work in different organizations, public or private, dedicated to the promotion of gender equality as well as oriented to the attention to victims of gender violence: social services, women's institutes, associations and NGOs, defense organizations and promotion of equality. You can also design equality projects and plans and do field work by applying them in different areas.

The Master in Gender Equality and Violence enables you to address gender equality from a multidisciplinary approach, from historical, educational, socio -labor, family and as a social enrichment tool. In addition, it will provide you with instruments and techniques for the management of equality policies and application of intervention protocols with victims of gender violence.

The master's degree in gender equality and violence is aimed at university graduates who want to devote themselves to the various branches that raise gender equality policies. Also to those professionals who direct their intervention to provide assistance to women victims of gender violence.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
