MF0440-1 Footwear Repair Course

In the field of the textile world, preparation and skin it is necessary to know the different fields of the repair of footwear and leather goods, within the professional area. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the repair of footwear.

- Interpret the Footwear Repair Order or customer application, to organize the work of changing defects or defective components produced by the daily use or poor quality of the materials, to achieve the required quality and in the established time. - Prepare, adjust and readjust the machines and equipment for the repair of footwear and perform the first level maintenance and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person responsible. - Remove the pieces used or worn in the footwear, according to the repair order and the deterioration they present and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person responsible. - Mark and cut the pieces removed from footwear for replacement, as well as the necessary accessories, taking into account the characteristics of the materials, optimizing their use. - Prepare the materials and assemble, by sewing or other union technique, the pieces and accessories for the repair of the footwear with the planned quality and, where appropriate, under the supervision of the person responsible.

Small companies or artisan workshops, autonomously or on behalf of others, dedicated to the repair and/or conditioning of the materials that make up the shoes or leather goods.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF0440_1 Footwear repair certifying having overcome the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls Autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the textile world, preparation and skin, specifically in the repair of footwear and leather goods, within the professional area Footwear, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge related to the repair of footwear.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
