Resumen

The multisensory classroom goes beyond being a simple educational tool for students with special educational needs, it is a controlled stimulatory therapy whose objective is the integration of the senses and the improvement of the quality of life in all those people with a specific physical or psychic deficit. The general objective of this multisensory stimulation course in the classroom + psychoeducational intervention in autism (double degree + 10 ECTS credits) is that knowledge and skills necessary to determine the uses and applications that a multisensory classroom has in the context of education is acquired, determining its profits for the development of teaching-learning activities. On the other hand, autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) represent a group of symptoms that define what we are used to calling autism. The new way of referring to autism results from the knowledge we have of the wide variety of manifestations that this disorder can have, from children with intellectual abilities limited to much superior, with a lot of variability in their behaviors. It is very important to know what type of psychoeducational intervention can be carried out with this type of students and be able to put it into practice in daily life.

Objetivos

- Determine the characteristics of cognitive, motor and sensory development in childhood. - Describe the importance of psychomotor skills in the first stage of the child's life. - Specify the needs of students with disabilities and the importance of carrying out an intervention in stimulation. - Specify and limit the concept of multisensory stimulation. - Learn the tools to understand and stimulate growth. - Know the different types of stimulations that can be applied according to the different needs of students. - Know the different types of generalized developmental disorders, as well as their classification and differential diagnosis. - Learn the different characteristics in the child's development with autistic spectrum disorder. - Know how to interpret the different alterations of the autistic spectrum: socialization, communication, behavior, anticipation and flexibility, and symbolization. - Know how primary health affects autism. - Identify and evaluate a child for early detection and diagnosis. - Intervene psychoeducatively with students with students with autism.
