UF2074 Course Quality and Ethics in the use of computer programs used in Bioinformatics

In the field of chemistry, it is necessary to know the different fields of quality and ethical regulations in the use of computer programs used in biochemistry, within the professional area chemical process. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to obtain and exchange biotechnological data using telematic networks and bioinformatics techniques.

- Manage computer programs necessary for the processing of information of interest in biotechnology. - List and describe the fundamental logical systems for the search for data in molecular biology and navigation tools. - Distinguish and perform the necessary actions to recognize and modify annotations in specific languages. - Explain the main components of a computer, its peripherals and logical supports on the basis of its function and utility in biotechnology.

This professional will exercise its activity in biotechnological companies of a public or private nature, where it will develop its work in the area of obtaining products and realization of biotechnological services, both in those sectors where technologies that suppose the use of living organisms or its components are used, this being its main activity, as in those others that are not even their main activity, they can innovate with biotechnological techniques some products and processes.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the UF2074 training unit Quality and ethics in the use of computer programs used in bioinformatics certifying having exceeded the different competence units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and non -formal training, via which it will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective certificate of professionalism. Calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).
