After exceeding the aquatic lifeguard course, the following objectives will have been achieved, among others: - Supervise the installation and specific materials, to ensure the correct state according to current regulations. - Use personal material and equipment to prevent occupational risks. - Transmit and enforce the regulations of the installation to the user, to guarantee coexistence and security, applying effective communication techniques. - Perform the preventive training that allows to maintain the optimal physical and technical conditions of the lifeguard. - Monitor the designated area systematically, to anticipate the accident or emergency situation acting accordingly. - Analyze the conditions of the situation, to decide the intervention to be carried out according to the established emergency plans. - Place the action, approach, control and towing of the victim according to the situation of the environment, of the injured and of itself. - Extract the injured based on the estimation of its characteristics and the environmental conditions present.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
