Summary

Nursing covers care, autonomous and in collaboration, which lend people of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or healthy, in all contexts, and includes the promotion of health, the prevention of the disease, and the care of people. Due to its great relevance, it is very important to know the basic aspects of this discipline, in this case, specifically aimed at first aid intervention with older people.

Goals

- Know the field of nursing and the application of first aid in Geriatrics if necessary. - Manage material and personal resources in a unit/service and first aid actions that may be required. - Know the operation of the different specific nursing procedures in Geriatrics - Provide students with the necessary knowledge to develop basic first aid actions. - Recognize risk and emergency situations and adopt the most appropriate prevention and protection measures in each case.

This course enables the student to face with maximum professionalism the practice of the activity of nursing assistant, working in clinics, residences, hospitals, private consultations, or offering home assistance to adults through telecare companies and particularly in homes or hospitals. In addition, the present course aims to train any professional in the basic notions related to first aid, as well as instruct students in basic actions to the main health contingencies in the working world.
