Summary

Thanks to the current advances in genetics, it is possible to understand the functioning of the genes that control and contribute to the development and individuality of organisms, which together with cell biology allows us to explore their scientific applications to use them for the benefit of the whole society. Through this course in Cell and Genetic Biology, it is intended to offer students the necessary training to specialize in one of the scope of biological research with more relevance for the future development of science.

Goals

After completing the course of cell and genetic biology, students will have achieved the following objectives: - Know the current situation of cell biology. - Analyze the structure, organization and evolution of genomes. - Study the mother cells. - Understand the gametogenesis process. - Determine how cell division is carried out. - Identify the phases and understand cell aging. - Analyze cellular crops and their applications. - Know the main techniques of genetic analysis. - Understand the observation in microscopy and image processing.
