CHILD OBESITY COURSE School dining room

Child and adolescent obesity is a severe public health problem. Many studies associate childhood obesity and their prevalence in the adult stages of life, as well as with chronic diseases. The priority objective of this course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge for the design of a balanced diet in terms of energy and nutrients as well as adjusted to the nutritional requirements of each stage. On the other hand, it is intended to know the different diseases, such as diabetes, derived from overweight and their treatment through proper food.

- Publicize the pillars of a healthy and balanced eating adapted to the nutritional requirements of the child and adolescent population. - Inform about the most common pathologies and eating disorders in the child and adolescent population. - Expose different strategies and resources used by various agencies to prevent obesity in the children's and adolescent community. - Raise awareness of the importance of the school dining room in terms of intervention in the food of the child or adolescent. - Know the importance of knowledge of allergies and intolerances in food. - Recognize the nutritional value of the water and determine its characteristics. - Establish an approach to childhood nutrition globally.

With this course, students will acquire the necessary skills to be able to prepare and supervise a correct diet in the school and adolescent stage of minors. On the other hand, those surveys and tools that I have been using to know what eating habits have our minors and families in general will be known

The course on childhood obesity prevention in school classrooms and dining rooms: nutrition from childhood to adolescence is aimed at children's nutrition professionals, food technologists, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, biologists, educators/trainers, as well as any other person interested in training in said subject.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
