Summary

In the field of hospitality and restoration, it is necessary to know the different fields in the sommelier, within the professional restoration area. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the elaboration of the different wines, other alcoholic beverages, waters, coffees and infusions.

Goals

- Identify the quality of grapes as an essential factor of the identity signs of a wine, recognizing the factors of the physical and human environment that affect its maturation cycle. - Identify the processes of elaboration of the basic winemakes to recognize the factors that influence their quality. - Identify the processes of elaboration of the various types of special vinifications to recognize the factors that influence their quality. - Identify the processes of elaboration of beers and cider to recognize the factors involved in their quality. - Identify the current European regulations of spirits in relation to their elaboration processes. - Identify the different categories of packaged waters, their respective legal demands and their characteristics. - Describe the process of making coffee, tea and other infusions identifying the factors that influence their quality and organoleptic characteristics.

Professional opportunities

It develops its activity in large, medium and small restoration companies usually of the private sector and under the dependence of a hierarchical superior. You can also develop your professional activity in the field of wines and other drinks, either in direct sale, distribution or advice.

To prepare you

This formation adjusts to the training itinerary of the Formative Unit UF0848 Preparation of wines, other alcoholic beverages, waters, coffees and infusions, certifying having exceeded the different competition units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which it will opt for the obtaining of the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the corresponding certificate of professional respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).
