The manager or foreman of livestock is the professional in charge of managing livestock production, through the programming and organization of the resources and means available, both material and human and economic, always keeping in mind the criteria of economic profitability and the applicable regulations in environmental, sanitary and animal welfare matters. Through the present course in charge of the livestock, it is intended to offer students the necessary training to carry out these tasks in the professional field.

Among the objectives of the livestock course include: - Control the management, location and transport of the stallions, reproductive mares and infant foals to provide proper well -being and obtain optimal performance within the exploitation. - Coordinate the necessary human resources in the activities with stallions, reproductive mares and infant foals to guarantee adequate yields, depending on the established objectives and activities. - Plan the weaning and the activities that are carried out with the foals in the days after it. - Organize the incorporation of the foals weaved to the exploitation rectation regime, and control their handling and location during this productive phase. - Coordinate and control the necessary human resources in the activities of weaning and groading foals to guarantee adequate yields, depending on the established objectives and activities.

This year -lived course is addressed to all those professionals in the agrarian field, and more specifically those of the professional area of livestock, as well as all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to the management and location of the stallions, reproductive mares and infant foals.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
