Summary

One of the great achievements of the welfare society is the increase in the life expectancy of the population. This fact carries with it the aging of the population and the growing increase in the elderly sector. The situation described above claims the existence of public and private centers, aimed at the attention of this group to guarantee a good quality of life.

Goals

- Deepen the contents related to the system for autonomy and attention to dependency (SAAD) - Know the main characteristics at the physical, cognitive, emotional level of the population recipients of the services of the day center. - Study the psychological aspects and the different pathologies that can occur in the elderly to provide adequate healthcare. - Describe the nature, characteristics and functionalities of a day center. - Present the different leadership competences and professional skills that a director or director of a day center must have. - Offer the necessary knowledge and the general guidelines to carry out the labor management of the center - Explain the theoretical and practical principles linked to the economic -financial management of a day center for the elderly - Approach to the prevention of the risks associated with the recipient collective collective of the day centers

This course aims to offer the necessary training to professionally manage and direct a day center for the elderly from the knowledge of the social reality of its users and from the technical knowledge of the integral management of a center

The course is aimed at the management staff of centers and services for the third age that wishes to be titled or expand and improve its professional practice in this field. Likewise, university degrees interested in the management and business management applied to the centers and services for the elderly and for personnel of any academic origin that, or not having a gerontological training, wants to specialize in the management of private centers of attention to the third age.
