Down Syndrome Course: Psychoeducational intervention in students with Down Syndrome (University degree with 5 ECTS credits)

One of the most valuable resources available to people with disabilities for their development is education, the educational inclusion of students with Down syndrome is a project that benefits everyone. Psychoeductive intervention is a tool that allows teachers to facilitate the learning of these students through the development and empowerment of social and cognitive skills. This course offers specialized training in psychoeducational intervention, providing the skills and knowledge necessary to deal with the difficulties these students present and enhance their learning skills, overcoming their difficulties.

Prepare students to learn about the characteristics of students with Down syndrome and their learning difficulties, so that they can plan and develop adequate psychoeducational intervention programs, to allow these students with special educational needs, achieve the minimum teachings arranged by law, so that they can achieve educational objectives and be able to be integrated into the ordinary classroom.

This course of psychopedagogical intervention in students with Down Syndrome, is aimed at all those teachers of Infant Education, Primary Education, secondary school teachers, psychologists, pedagogues, psychopedagogues, etc. And, in general, any university degree interested in performing their professional work in the teaching field. Specifically, professionals in the field of education who are interested in specific training in the field of psychopedagogical intervention with children with special educational needs. It is also aimed at all those interested in training in this area.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
