The problems derived from drug abuse, especially among young people, is a topic that has not yet been able to stop effectively, more because of the misinformation than due to the lack of tools. What is indisputably true is that health education, as a preventive measure, is the safest commitment to face the problem from the family and school environment. Teachers, specialists, etc., as an agent of change and behavior model, is an ideal figure to articulate prevention and detection programs and strategies. With this course of prevention of drug dependence, we want them to acquire a clear vision of the problem, the aspects they can modify and the best means to do so.

- Know the phenomenon of drug addiction in depth, as well as the risk and protection factors that surround it learning to neutralize some and to enhance others. - Know the different types of addictive substances and their effects on the body. - Offer the theoretical and methodological bases to develop preventive work and design specific actions in different fields. - Promote among people the rejection of drugs and the acceptance of alternative roads for leisure and socialization.
