European Master in Applied Sociology

Sociology aims to discover the way in which society works, while applied sociology acquires the theories that are learned in pure sociology and uses them to solve practical social problems. Thus, with this master it is intended to provide an approach to sociological methods to help the communities solve those related daily problems, among others, with community intervention and dynamization, the educational field and group work, social projects or related to social networks.

- Identify and specify the characteristics and needs of the social context of the intervention. - Promote citizen participation in community projects and resources. - Establish and maintain fluid relationships with the educational community and coordinate with families, the educational team and with other professionals. - Have the necessary skills to train and lead work teams. - Know the elements that characterize the coaching process. - Introduce in the practice of coaching as a space for the construction of personal and professional sense. - Put into practice educational strategies for the improvement of coexistence and discipline. - Know the fundamental principles of project management as well as its importance. - Deepen social projects, their design and elaboration. - Learn to use the different applications arising from web 2.0. - Learn to register in the different social networks and know the characteristics of each of them.

He develops his work in the citizen service services, in public and private institutions, with or without profit, mainly local, autonomic or national. Close relationship with the fields of sociology, social education, social work, pedagogy, anthropology or psychology.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
