At present there is a general conception and, in the vast majority of cases wrong, about psychopathy and what it supposes. Despite existing general beliefs, that the term psychopath is equal to criminal or serial killer, it is not possible to affirm this idea. Psychopathy consists mainly of a deficit about affective functions, which does not have to lead to criminal behavior. However, it is also true that psychopathy and antisocial behavior keep a close relationship, denying that all psychopaths are criminal. With the realization of this course in criminological profiles, the necessary knowledge will be contributed to be able to analyze the different existing criminological profiles, as well as all those factors that are of influence on them.

- Study the configuration of legal psychology, the different areas of intervention, its historical development and definition, as well as know the different functions of it. - Evaluate criminology as a criminal science, which has an empirical and interdisciplinary method of study. - Know the types of crime attending to the form of action, and by other criteria, such as gravity, the form of execution, guilt, number of people, among others. - Study the definition of psychopathy, attending to the social and biological basis of violence. - Define the modus operandi in a broad and specific sense to violent crimes. - Know the concept of geographical profile as a tool used by Criminology as helping the resolution of crimes and crimes in series.

This course in criminological profiles enables him for the free exercise of the judicial expert function in criminological profiles in the judicial processes of labor, civil or criminal as well as to work on behalf of others. In addition, it will offer the person a theoretical-methodological and scientific training, which prepares it to analyze in a broad and deep way the nature of criminological profiles, criminology and victimology.

This course in criminological profiles is aimed at all those who, either by personal interests or for professional issues, are interested in acquiring different knowledge linked to criminological profiles.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
