Thus, it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge related to the management of an orthoprothetic establishment, anatomy, biomechanics and pathologies applied to orthoprothetic activity, and the projection, elaboration and adaptation of organs, external prostheses and technical aids.

- Analyze regulatory, competence and commercial aspects of the orthoprothetic sector, which affect the development of professional activity. - Analyze the properties of the materials used in the manufacture and adaptation of orthoprothetic products, as well as their variations, due to the application of treatments. - Interpret the medical prescription of an order, determining the type and technical characteristics of the prescribed product. - Select external prostheses from the medical prescription, adapting it to the patient's characteristics, according to technical specifications and applicable regulations. - Differentiate the type of support product required by the patient, according to the classification of applicable disabilities, medical prescription and functional needs of the patient, specifying the technical characteristics of the product.

It develops its professional activity in the health sector, in organizations and institutions of the public sphere and in private companies, in the area of direct care to the patient or user in orthopedic establishments, through processes of sale, adaptation and manufacture of orthoprothetic products and technical aids. It can be integrated into a multidisciplinary team formed by health personnel, social workers and other technicians of their level, coordinated and directed by a optional. You can also develop your activity in the industrial sector, in the production area, as responsible for the serial production of organs and prostheses. Likewise, you can work in establishments for orthoprothetic distribution as an orthopedic medical representative or visitor. Its professional activity is subject to regulation by the state health administration.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the San128_3 qualification, certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding professional qualification, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities of work (Royal Decree 1224/2009 of recognition of the professional competences acquired by work experience).

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
