Criminal mediation is an alternative conflict resolution system that gives prominence to the parties, when there has been a crime or offense, promoted by the court and carried out by a specialized mediation team, which allows the restoration of the damages caused, whose objective is the achievement of agreements that satisfy the parties involved. Criminal mediation does not replace the sentence, but it does include it and with the agreement of all parties, (holder of the Court, Fiscal Ministry, legal representatives and the parties themselves) is received as a fundamental essence of the sentence. This Master in Criminal Mediation offers specialized training in criminal mediation.

With the realization of this criminal master's degree, students are intended to reach the following objectives. - Know the foundations of mediation as a method of management and dispute solution. - Know the normative framework regarding mediation. - Acquire knowledge about the mediator functions, as well as the processes, clauses and mediation agreements. - Know in detail restorative justice and criminal mediation. - Know the peculiarities of criminal mediation in minors processes. - Know the main starting points of conflicts. - Acquire skills for conflict resolution, using a correct style and language. - Learn the characteristics and types of arbitration. - Know the arbitration agreement, as well as its requirements and modalities. - Acquire the concepts of guarantee of all arbitration. - Learn about the decision of all arbitration: the award. - Define the process of valuation and monitoring of the intervention involving those involved in it. - Perform the mediation process and its results by the different agents who have participated in the process. - Perform the monitoring and evaluation of the mediation process according to the previous design to verify the adequacy of the programmed. - Offer instruments to the work team for the incorporation of mediation methods in their planning of programs and projects.

This criminal master is aimed at university graduates or professional training. Also to lawyers, attorneys, social workers, psychologists, social graduates or anyone who wants to form in criminal mediation.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
