Master in Critical Care

In the health field it is common to meet patients who have real or potential health problems, which endanger their life, requiring comprehensive care, continuous observation and specific treatment. With the realization of the Master in Critical Care, the necessary knowledge will be provided to adequately attend to critical patients who have high health risk, focusing especially on those who have been victims of catastrophes (whether emergencies or emergencies), children's emergencies, children who need basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in addition to critical patients in general.

- Serve the critical care of patients who are at a high health risk. - Train and update the student to be able to evaluate and give comprehensive response to possible child emergency situations from the first step of the survival chain, focused on basic life support. - Improve care in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the resolutive capacity and the level of professional nursing competence of the hospital emergency service, and consequently, improve the level of health and satisfaction of the pediatric population. - Know the protocol or protocols that must be carried out in children's emergencies. - Learn the basic principles of medicine in catastrophes and initial healthcare to multiple victims and the form of health care organization both at the hospital and extrahospital level.

Students can achieve integral training in the field of critical care, acquiring a solid knowledge of the conceptual bases of the discipline, as well as the existing techniques. The Master in Critical Care provides the necessary tools to act properly to a cardiorespiratory arrest both in -hospital and extrahospital, carrying out the basic life support techniques and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children. In addition, it will provide the necessary knowledge to make the most of the benefit and efficiency to situations of maximum risk, emergency and urgency, being able to act properly, rapidly and satisfactory to urgent health situations.

The Master in Critical Care is aimed at all those people who are interested, either at a professional level or for personal reasons, in acquiring knowledge related to the process of critical care of patients, either in situations of urgency or emergency, of patients in general or in pediatrics.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
