This Master in Dietetics and Child Nutrition is about health education, which is a fundamental element in the set of transverse issues that have to be reflected in the various areas of the school curriculum. There is no doubt that good food guidelines are essential to maintain health, especially that of the little ones who are in the process of growth and development and this master in dietary and child nutrition offers that training.

- Define nutritional needs in the different stages of life, physiological states, etc. - Offer priority principles to establish the basis of balanced nutrition in the different stages of life and physiological periods, as a preventive measure of associated diseases the problems of poor nutrition. - Know the nutritional values of different foods, whether of animal origin as a vegetable. - Learn the correct manipulation of food. - Know the culinary treatments of food. - Learn to conservation of food and emerging technologies in this area. - Know the recommended intakes and food labeling. - Raise awareness about the preventive nature that optimal nutrition has on health. - Reasonably know the energy and nutritious needs of the organism. - Study the nutritional aspects, sources and recommended intakes of the different nutrients. - Provide the student, necessary and updated knowledge about nutrition and food, as well as useful work tools, that allow to know the nutritional requirements and recommendations in different pathophysiological situations that generate obesity, so that they can be applied in the workplace. - Provide the student with the knowledge that allows them a correct approach to the obese patient. - Update the knowledge that is related to the clinic of obese patients to help improve the identification, management and decrease of complications in these patients. - Know eating disorders or food psychopathology. - Learn the physiology and neurobiology of the regulation of eating behavior. - To be able to relate mental disorders and disturbed eating. - Learn the concept of obesity, psychosocial aspects and their treatment. - Learn the concept of anorexia nervosa, clinical aspects and their diagnosis and their treatment. - Learn the concept of bulimia nervosa, clinical aspects and their diagnosis and their treatment. - Identify other eating disorders. - Perform a clinical evaluation and diagnostic criteria of eating disorders. - Carry out interdisciplinary treatment in each of eating disorders

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
