The movement for women's rights has needed decades to make visible and raise awareness of the different groups and levels that gender violence is a violation of human rights and as such, it is not a private issue, but collective responsibility to combine efforts to eliminate this violation of rights and cause a conceptual and structural change that guarantees real and effective equality to women and girls.
