Once the master's degree is overcome in Medical Physics, students will have achieved, among others, the following objectives: - Know cell physiology. - Study the different processes that occur in a cell. - Learn the different principles of the radiographic technique. - Know in a more advanced way the physics of radiation and X -rays. - Know how to interpret the basic aspects of radiology. - Know the interaction of radiation with the organism (radiobiology). - Acquire knowledge about the realization of radiography in the different areas of the body. - Define the precautions that must be carried out in the realization of an radiography. - Learn to discern among the different types of injuries that can reveal an radiography. - Develop knowledge of mathematics and physical related to the correct use of radiation. - Identify the biological effects of ionizing radiation on organisms. - Operate with the computer planning system in Tele therapy using the specific program management tools. - Operate with the Brachytherapy planning computer system using the specific program management tools. - Verify compliance with the standards of the Quality Guarantee Program in the specific Dosimetric Teams of radiotherapy. - Describe the control and management of radioactive material in hospital and extrahospital medical services. - Explain the fundamental functions and responsibilities in hospital radiological protection. - Establish fundamental radiological protection measures. - Apply the basic aspects of the use of surveillance and radiation control processes. - Assess the surveillance and monitoring criteria of exposure to ionizing radiation. - Describe how to carry out an installation project and the way of implementing the use of medical radioactive equipment. - Define emergency procedures in ionizing radiation. - Describe the registration and quality control procedures of the protection units. - Deepen the types of existing biomedical equipment - Know the operation and development of each of the biomedical teams. - Analyze and evaluate the types of systems and subsystems that exist within each of the equipment. - Study of biochemistry. - Know the different components to be treated as carbohydrates, enzymes, vitamins etc. - Know the different metabolisms. - Learn everything related to bioestadistics and its procedures. - Deepen the combination of biomedical engineering criteria. - Know the tools in specific statistical analysis of each area. - Apply engineering knowledge to obtain advances in the medical field.
