Occupational therapists play a very relevant role in the attention of children who have difficulties with physical coordination, organization and learning skills and attention to perform tasks, so they must have the necessary skills to deal with children for a better professional performance and children benefit from occupational therapy. Through the present Master Occupational therapy in Pediatria, university graduates in occupational therapy are offered adequate complementary training to update their knowledge in this area. Goals

Among the objectives of the Master Occupational Therapy in Pediatria,: - Know the scope of action, the target population and the main theoretical models in early care. - Know what are the basic diagnostic guidelines and intervention in children with evolutionary disorders from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective. - Detail the early signs of the various disorders and difficulties in development. - Identify the individual capacities of children, referring to the stages of development. - Identify and sequencing that learning favoring cognitive, sensory and motor development. - Plan the temporary organization of the institution verifying its adaptation to the characteristics and moments of the recipients. - Know the main instruments and evaluation techniques that allow their adaptation to different ages and contexts. - Define the techniques and procedures available to assess the learning of children, checking the capabilities and achievements obtained. - Know specific actions for boys and girls with special/specific educational needs. - Learn the theoretical reference frameworks in pediatric occupational therapy. - Know the practice models applied in occupational therapy from the pediatric point of view. - Know the use of evaluation tools in pediatric occupational therapy. - Know the applicable programs in pediatric occupational therapy. - Know the different devices in infantic -venue health, physical rehabilitation and education. - Highlight the importance of the game in child development, attending to the relationship established with the game as children are developing. - Analyze the valuation model through the use of Vojta therapy, its basic foundations and aspects. - Know the guidelines to follow in a hip assessment in children who require participation in a standing program. - Highlight the importance of valuation scales that in pediatric physiotherapy is used, emphasizing the thick motor function test due to its relevance in this area. - Establish the guidelines and benefits of child massage for motor development. - Highlight the role of physiotherapy in early care, pointing out its participation as the basis of this intervention. - Establish the foundations at the school level and analyze the role of pediatric physiotherapy in this area, attending students with special educational needs. - Know that it is psychomotor skills and its intervention areas. - Know psychomotor development and how the body scheme is acquired. - Acquire knowledge of our body to work the different disorders and alterations. - Know the role of the psychomotorist and the psychomotor room. - Characterize the emotional and social development of children from zero to six years, in order to take them into account in the realization of projects or programs of early childhood education and in adaptation to individual characteristics. - Analyze projects or intervention programs with families to favor the affective, social, moral and sexual development of children. - Recognize social skills and conflict resolution techniques. - Identify the relationship styles that facilitate the creation of a positive self -image by the girl or the boy. - Identify the characteristics of the sexual development of the girl and the influence it exerts on their integral development. - Understand the influence of the family and social context to plan educational intervention
