This master in orthopedics for pharmacists offers specialized training in the field. In the field of health, it is necessary to know the different fields of orthoprothetic. Thus, with this master in orthopedics for pharmacists it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge related to the management of an orthoprothetic establishment, the anatomy, biomechanics and pathologies applied to orthoprothetic activity, and the projection, elaboration and adaptation of organs, external prostheses and technical aids.

Goals

This Master in Orthopedics for Pharmaceuticals will facilitate the scope of the following established objectives: - Analyze the Spanish orthoprothetic sector, valuing those regulatory, competence and commercial aspects, which can influence professional practice. - Adapt the facilities and the operation of an orthoprothetic sanitary establishment to the specific regulations, with the aim of paying the best care to the patient/user. - Adapt orthoprothetic performance systems to the characteristics of the orthoprothetic health establishment. - Apply quality and health control systems to the adaptation and manufacture activities of orthoprothetic health products. - Organize the general storage of the orthoprothetic establishment. - Define the different commercial, fiscal, labor, tax and security obligations, for the correct functioning of the orthoprothetic establishment. - Implement a system to obtain orthoprothetic products costs. - Structure the commercial action of the orthoprothetic establishment. - Analyze the properties of the materials used in the manufacture and adaptation of orthoprothetic products, as well as their variations, due to the application of treatments. - Compare manual and machine machining techniques, in order to select devices, machines, equipment and tools required to obtain orthoprothetic products. - Relate devices, machines, equipment and tools with mechanized work to obtain orthoprothetic products. - Apply computer programs for definition of orthoprothetic products and elaboration of planning plans of organs, prostheses or technical aids, through computer -assisted drawing techniques (CAD). - Enter the concept of biomechanics and its application in prostheses. - List the functions and mechanisms of action of lower and upper limb prostheses. - Describe in detail the different types of prostheses of the lower and upper limb. - Differentiate the parts that make up the lower limb prostheses. - Differentiate the parts that make up the upper limb prostheses. - Know the orthoprosthesis and the prostheses indicated in congenital amputations. - Differentiate the type of support product required by the patient, according to the classification of applicable disabilities, medical prescription and functional needs of the patient, specifying the technical characteristics of the product. - Analyze aspects related to the quality of life and integral accessibility, involved in the design of support products for disabled people and older people. - Analyze the characteristics of support products, considering needs related to domestic life, personal care, communication and information, mobility and own needs of the elderly. - Select procedures for taking measures for the elaboration of a support product. - Apply procedures for supporting products, determining elaboration plans, means of manufacturing, materials and techniques. - Analyze the operations required for the manufacture and/or adaptation of technical aids for daily life, according to established protocols and applicable regulations. - Analyze the functionality of the support product, checking the correspondence with the objectives of its design, following the technical protocols and complying with the applicable regulations. - Apply communication and patient information techniques on technical characteristics, use, maintenance and periodic reviews of the support product, according to the established monitoring program, according to the applicable regulations. - Apply procedures to perform periodic reviews of the support product, attending to the patient/user monitoring program and complying with the applicable regulations. - Relate The anatomy and physiology of the human body with the application of orthoprothetic treatments. - Analyze the biomechanical of the anatomical segments susceptible to orthoprothetic treatment, carrying out the functional assessment of the patient by using clinical parameters and specific instruments. - Relate the patient's pathology with the application of orthoprothetic treatments, identifying syndromes, functional alterations and characteristics of amputations. - Interpret the medical prescription of an order, determining the type and technical characteristics of the prescribed product. - Analyze the anthropometric and functional characteristics of the patient, determining the parameters involved in the projection of the organ, taking the required measures in accordance with the prescribed product and established protocols. - Project organs, from optional prescription, determining elaboration plans, materials to be used, manufacturing means and techniques to be applied. - Apply the manufacturing procedures of the base parts of the organ, according to established criteria and applicable regulations. - Analyze the proof procedures of the prescribed organs. - Perform the rectifications, alignment and definitive finish of the organ, depending on the test results, according to established protocols. - Analyze the definitive adaptation and the final and periodic check of the prescribed organ, according to technical and applicable regulations.
