Master of Permanent Training in Social Education + 60 ECTS credits

Currently, the education system does not cover all socialization environments of society, and for this social education acts. Social education develops extensive and diverse socio-educational work, in constant evolution, and that includes different sectors of society: childhood, adolescence, family, woman, senior citizens, ethnic minorities, drug addicts, inmates, emigrants, etc. This course provides the knowledge required to function professionally in the environment of social education, useful in this branch that is constantly changing and growth since educational intervention is necessary in order to reduce the needs that affect society, helping the individual to adapt to social life, and reach the levels of coexistence in a community.

- Know the history of social education as well as the current situation of it in Spain, the origin of the figure of the social educator, and the different theories and paradigms on which it is based on the study of sociology. - Describe the areas or fields in which social education intervenes. - Understand the origin of educational research as well as its evolution and relationship with social education and the application of the scientific research method in social sciences. - Know the basic principles of social projects, and the guidelines for the elaboration of a social project distinguishing the characteristics of the different types of projects. - Know different programs and intervention strategies of the social educator in different fields: minors, drug addictions, immigration, gender, dependence and disability.

The Master in Social Education is aimed at university degrees of the different educational fields that wish to expand their knowledge or, on the contrary, are interested in issues of social and educational field, as well as in the attitudes and skills that will allow them to improve their performance by adapting to the new demands of a society in constant process of change, progress and regeneration.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
