Summary

Hematology is the medical specialty of internal medicine in charge of the treatment of patients with blood or hematological diseases, thus focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, study and research of blood and hematopoietic organs. Through the present Master online hematology, students are offered the adequate recycling training to update their knowledge in everything related to hematology as well as blood banks and the study of genetics in this field.

Goals

Once this online hematology Master is over, students will have achieved among others the following objectives: - Estimate the normal levels of the main components of the blood. - Describe the different blood extraction techniques and other biological samples. - Define the main evidence used in the hematology laboratory. - Analyze the components and cells that form the blood. - Prevent or communicate blood -related diseases through blood samples. - Determine the indications of blood transfusion. - Acquire the necessary knowledge to carry out a transfusion of blood components avoiding possible side effects. - Analyze the blood donation and its importance from the sanitary point of view. - Know the regulatory regulations and the management of the regional blood transfusion centers. - Conduct a study of the blood and its characteristics. - Understand the treatment of biological samples, such as blood. - Detail the procedure to be carried out in the blood transmission. - Know in detail the basic instrumentation of the Blood Bank. - Study the ISBT-128 coding system. - Determine the measures to be taken in quality in the Blood Bank. - Describe and explain Mendel's laws, within human genetics, as well as basic processes within molecular genetics. - Define the concepts that are part of the study of populations genetics and the organization of human genome. - Develop evolutionary theories and processes that occur within evolutionary genetics. - Summarize and identify the types of chromosomes and their importance from the point of view of mutations. - Understand the embryogenesis process and the mutations that occur during this process.
