MF0520-1 Basic Operations Course and Gardening Centers

In the field of the agrarian world it is necessary to know the auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and gardening centers within the professional area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and gardening centers.

- Specify the fundamental types of soils, amendments and fertilizers, and perform the land preparation work using the appropriate means and applying the measures to prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations. - Identify the various types of substrates, and prepare different mixtures taking into account their application, using the appropriate means and observing the measures for prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations. - Describe the different systems and elements of crop protection and irrigation, and carry out the basic work for the installation of their infrastructure using the appropriate means and applying the measures to prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations. - Define the techniques of collection, preparation and conservation of the plant material used in the production of plants, and apply them in a practical case using the appropriate means and observing the measures of prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations. - Expose the techniques and materials used in vegetative propagation, and perform the basic work for the multiplication of the plant material using the appropriate means and observing the measures to prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations. - Explain the techniques and materials used in sexual propagation, and perform the basic work for the multiplication of plant material using the appropriate means and observing the measures for prevention of occupational hazards and environmental regulations.

It develops its professional activity in public companies, either from the local, autonomic or general administration of the State, in the environment, as well as in private companies dedicated to the installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas, and to the production of plants. It is also trained to perform pesticide treatments with basic level, according to the activity regulated by the corresponding regulations.

This Fomation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF0520_1 basic operations in nurseries and gardening centers certifying having exceeded the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which you will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the agrarian world, specifically in the auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and gardening centers, within the professional area, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge related to basic operations in nurseries and gardening centers.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
