MF1074-3 Tourist Information Course

At present, in the world of hospitality and tourism, it is very important to know the different local tourist promotions and information to the visitor. Therefore, with this course it is about providing the necessary knowledge for tourist information.

- Select, store and process information of interest on the local environment to publicize its tourist potential, adapting to the requirements and needs of customers and the objectives of the center or the planning of the destination. - Program and control the activities of a tourist information center to adapt them to the characteristics of the local environment and the demands of the clients and achieve the planned objectives. - Organize the necessary resources to carry out the provision of services of the Tourist Information Center, adapting to the different situations that may arise or the particular conditions of the local environment. - Attend and advise visitors and residents in the demands of information and in the formulation of complaints or claims, guaranteeing at all times the quality of the information provided.

It develops its activity, fundamentally, in public or public-private entities whose purpose is the planning and territorial tourism development. It exercises its functions as contact personnel with the users of the service or in supervised management positions, depending on the size and complexity of the structure in which it is integrated, or for which it works from the private company.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1074_3 Tourist Information Certifying the Different Competition Units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which you will opt for to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different communities Autonomous, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at all those who are dedicated to the world of hospitality and tourism, more specifically to tourism promotion and who intend to obtain knowledge related to tourist information.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
