MF1297_1 course: maintenance and repair of fishing elements in port

In the field of Maritime Fishing, it is necessary to know the different fields of auxiliary activities and support to the ship in port, within the professional fishing and navigation area. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to carry out the work of starting, maintenance, manipulation and repair of the fishing elements, during the stay of the ship in the port.

- Explain the processes to be carried out, in the loading, discharge, transfers and starts from the fishing supplies, so that they are performed in time and safely. - Apply techniques for review and repair of fishing elements, through procedures that allow them to be ready and prepared for use at the time of the exit to the sea. - Apply maintenance techniques to fishing elements, making sure to achieve their repair and conservation, for use in later tides. - Analyze prevention and safety measures regarding the actions of the manipulation of the media and equipment, contained in the ship's safety plans. - Apply the security plan analyzing the prevention, security and environmental protection measures of the ship. - List the preventive means and security criteria to be taken into account during roap operations and/or transfer of the vessel in port, in accordance with occupational risk prevention regulations, in order to minimize possible accidents. - Describe the parts, dimensions and accessories of the ship related to the maneuvers of transfer, loading and discharge. - Describe the parts of the ship related to its start, maintenance and stowage of fishing elements.

It develops its professional activity on their own, in fishing companies dedicated to extractive activity, being able to expand this area to network shops and other industries directly related to fishing activity. It depends functional and hierarchically on a superior.

This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1297_1 maintenance and repair of fishing elements in port, certifying having overcome the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and of the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of maritime fishing, specifically in auxiliary activities and support to the ship in port, within the professional area fishing and navigation, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge necessary to carry out the work of starting, maintenance, manipulation and repair of the fishing elements, during the stay of the ship in the port.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
