MF1587_3 course veterinary clinical consultation

Veterinary care constitutes a work environment in growing expansion. The proliferation of pets and the increase in systematic care (nutrition, vaccines, sterilization, monitoring, disease prevention) implies a growing demand for specialists in this area. The veterinary clinic assistant has become a professional field that claims a specialization. This course enables to help the veterinarian in the procedures of preventive medicine and the specific programs that are developed in the Veterinary Center.

- Apply storage, distribution and control techniques of medicines and instruments that allow the operation of the consultation, through the established protocol, maintaining rotation and control control standards. - Learn the characteristics of preventive medicine and specific programs that are developed in the veterinary center. - Carry out the registration procedures of animal clinical records using the archive systems and databases of the veterinary center. - Learn the functions of the veterinary assistant in relation to animals, their owners, and to the processes of help to the optional. - Develop organ organization techniques of the animal history by applying manual and computer means.

He develops his professional activity in the health sector, acting as a dependent worker, in veterinary centers (offices, clinics and veterinary hospitals), in the areas of sale, reception and hospitalization, clinical analysis laboratory, consultation, operating room and X -ray room, in associations, organizations or animal welfare institutions. You can also work in teachers and research public organizations or institutions: veterinary faculties, research animals and hospitals, among others.

This course will provide the student with the necessary knowledge to apply auxiliary veterinary care in the clinical consultation. The present training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1587_3 Training Module Veterinary Clinical Consult To obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at all those who want to develop their professional activity in the health sector in veterinary centers (offices, clinics and veterinary hospitals) and to all those who are active want to complete and improve their training regarding the veterinary clinical consultation.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University and PhD master). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
