MF1744_2 course first aid applied to dogs

In the field of security and the environment, it is necessary to know the different fields within the professional area of safety and prevention. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to perform first aid work applied to dogs.

- Apply initial techniques of first aid to dogs determining the priority of action, determining and using the materials contained in a first aid kit. - Apply basic life support techniques to restore the dog's ventilation and circulation of the dog, taking into account animal welfare, according to current regulations in the field. - Apply treatment techniques against heat blows, bites, insect bites, poisoning and digestive emergency. - Apply techniques and proceedings of action before seizures and wounds restoring the health of the dog.

It develops its professional activity both on its own and of others, in the field of small, medium and large private companies, residences, adoption centers of abandoned animals, veterinary clinics, homes of individuals, as well as, in public administrations and/or entities, related to breeding, training, sale, care and sports activities and recreational dogs. Its activity, generally, performs autonomously, although it can depend, circumstantially, on a hierarchical superior.

This formation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1744_2 formative module applied to dogs certifying having exceeded the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which you will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself.

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of security and environment, within the professional area Security and Prevention, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to first aid applied to dogs.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
