MF1917-2 Flat covers and waterproofing systems

In the field of building and civil works, it is necessary to know the different fields of waterproofing by membranes formed with sheets, within the professional area placement and assembly. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for flat covers and waterproofing systems.

- Recognize waterproofing systems, identification your fields of application in building and civil works, justifying your need and defining the components and structure with which they are configured. - Interpret works of waterproofing of enclosures in building, specifying the differences between the waterproofing of covers with respect to other building elements or other applications in civil works, and among the different types of waterproofing systems of walls and covers. - Apply usual collective media installation techniques in the waterproofing work, in enclosures in building and civil works, collaborating in their installation and correcting the deficiencies of which they are already isolated, complying with the specific safety and health conditions. - Dosify filling mixtures, mortars and concrete, for the formation of slopes, and check their fresh properties, considering the environmental conditions and subsequent use of the roof. - Apply masonry techniques both for the formation of slopes in flat roof systems and in the execution of anchors, overflows and other complementary elements, developing the rethinking and selecting the equipment that best suits each activity, complying with the specific quality and safety measures. - Describe the installation of complementary, auxiliary and protection of waterproofing systems, in enclosures in building and civil works, with the exception of the protection layers of other trades, specifying the conditions to be respected during installation, both geometric and of order and compatibility between the different layers of the systems. - Describe and apply techniques for placing thermal insulation in flat cover systems, selecting the equipment that best suits each acivity, and complies with specific quality and safety measures. - Describe the installation of protective layers of various materials for the waterproofing systems of flat roofs, and apply techniques to place gravel protection layers and by filter slabs, specifying the conditions to be respected during installation, both geometric and of order and compatibility between the different layers of the system, and complying with the specific quality and safety measures.

He develops his activity in the production area, as an autonomous or wage worker, in small, medium and large private companies, under the direction and supervision of a manager, and in his case organizing the work of his operators team. Collaborates in the prevention of risk of its scope of responsibility, being able to perform the basic function of occupational risk prevention.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF1917_2 Finish covers and waterproofing systems, certifying having overcome the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and of the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of building and civil works specifically in waterproofing through membranes formed with sheets within the area placement and assembly, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to flat roofs and impermeability systems.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
