MF1968-3 Course Operations Control in Forest Fire Fight

In the field of safety and environment, it is necessary to know the different fields within the coordination of operations in forest fires and support for contingencies in the natural and rural environment, within the professional area of security and prevention. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the control of operations in the fight against forest fires.

- Plan the surveillance work confirming in its case the existence of the forest fire through the different sources of information, of the Intervention Unit and/or external to it, to implement the action mechanisms established by the organization. - Plan the operations of the intervention units in the extinction of the fire in a safe and effective way, attending to instructions from the person responsible for the contingency, depending on the evaluation of its characteristics, of the threatened goods, and of the human and technical means available to control the assigned area. - Organize the operations of the Intervention Unit in the Control and/or Extinction of the area of the assigned fire, communicating the situation to the responsible superior to demobilize human and technical means and/or change them in the area.

It develops its professional activity in forest fire extinction services as a worker dependent on public administrations, as well as in public and private companies dedicated to agroforestry and environmental work, at the head of an intervention unit and in collaboration with other intervention units and/or operational civil protection groups, under the supervision of a responsible superior. Collaborates in the prevention of risk of its scope of responsibility, being able to perform the basic function of occupational risk prevention.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF1968_3 Formative Module Operations Control in Forest Fire Fight, certifying having overcome the different units of competition included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and of the non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of safety and environment, more specifically those linked to the coordination of operations in forest fires and support for contingencies in the natural and rural environment, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge related to the control of operations in the fight against forest fires.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
