MF2045-2 course and diagnosis of jewelry pieces

In the field of arts and crafts, it is necessary to know the different fields of jewelry repair, within the professional area jewelry and goldsmith. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to receive and diagnose pieces of jewelry.

- Describe the properties of noble materials and metals as well as the alloys established by current legislation. - Recognize the typology of pieces and elements used in jewelry and silverware, as well as its uses. - Properly select the tools, tools, machinery, products and consumables used in the manufacturing, ornamentation and finishes processes complying with the regulations for the prevention of occupational hazards and environmental protection - Properly describe the procedures and phases of manufacture, ornamentation and finishes complying with the regulations for the prevention of occupational hazards and environmental protection. - Apply identification and diagnosis procedures of the status of the gemological material in a piece of jewelry, considering degree of conservation (breakage, abrasions and cracks), characteristics (color, hardness, fragility, porosity, heat sensitivity, ultrasound and reactivity to chemical agents), shapes, sizes and aesthetic properties of gems. - Prepare technical information about the gemological material set in a piece of jewelry. - Apply techniques for selecting gemological material by tones, sizes, sizes and qualities and interpreting technical information. - Apply reception techniques, fulfilling the reception envelope, visually examining the set, indicates the requested intervention and the risk of deterioration, identifying the jewelry piece, leaving proof of its status and estimating approximate budget.

He develops his professional activity in companies and/or jewelry workshops dedicated to jewelry repair. It works on their own, under the supervision of a hierarchical superior, or on its own.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF2045_2 training module and diagnosis of jewelry pieces, certifying having exceeded the different competition units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls They are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of arts and crafts, specifically in jewelry repair, within the professional area jewelry and goldsmiths, and all those interested in acquiring related knowledge to receive and diagnose jewelry pieces.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
