Mountain and Escalated Monitor Course (university degree + 10 ECTS credits)

The mountain and climbing monitor course gives you complete training to become an expert guide in outdoor activities. You will learn the functions and styles of the sports monitor, you will develop physical and psychomotor qualities necessary to lead groups, and acquire fundamental social skills for teamwork. The course covers from the techniques of progression in varied terrain and climbing at different levels, learning different techniques and use of the rope, to the domain of guidance instruments such as compass and GPS. You will know thoroughly the necessary equipment for these activities and learn to apply first aid in emergency situations.

With this Monitoring and Escalada Monitor course you can work as a mountain and escalation monitor in sports clubs, adventure centers, camps, active tourism companies and leisure organizations and free time. You will also have the possibility of being a mountain and climbing guide, leading expeditions and hiking routes in natural environments.

This Monitoring and Climbing Monitor course prepares you to lead and organize activities of mountaineering, climbing and camping safely and effectively. You will learn to guide groups, teach progression and guidance techniques, specialize in climbing techniques and handle strings and knots. In addition, you will be trained to manage emergency situations and apply first aid.

This Monitoring and Escalated Monitor course is aimed at adventurers passionate about the mountain and escalation who wish to become qualified monitors. It is also ideal for sports and physical education professionals who seek to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of mountaineering and climbing.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
