Curriculum

Summary

This course of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium offers specialized training in the material. Pregnancy is the state of pregnant woman, in which a fetus develops in her uterus. It comprises from the fertilization of the ovule by sperm to childbirth or expulsion from the fetus abroad, its normal duration is 38 weeks from fertilization, that is 40 weeks from the last date. During pregnancy there are a series of changes in the pregnant woman and the fetus, which culminates with the birth of it. The puerperium is the period of time that goes from the lighting and expulsion of the placenta to approximately 6-8 weeks later.

Goals

- Describe the process of human reproduction. - Define fertility, infertility and sterility and diagnostic and treatment methods. - Synthesize the main changes that occur during pregnancy both in the pregnant woman and in the fetus. - Prevent possible complications in the pregnant woman and the fetus and newborn. - Determine an adequate physical activity for the pregnant woman.

This course of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium is aimed at university graduates in nursing who wish to specialize in and update their knowledge in the regulation of fertility, sexuality and clinical applications of reproductive methods, as well as everything related to pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
