Professional outputs of this nutrition and food security course in emergency situations are intended to cover those positions in which they are required a specialist in nutritional projects in humanitarian NGOs, development cooperation projects for the prevention of malnutrition in vulnerable populations, etc.

With this course of nutrition and food security in emergency situations, it is intended to provide students with a specific training on how to perform nutritional approach in emergency, mainly attending to cases of malnutrition in vulnerable groups, as well as the dietary intervention to be carried out to safeguard their nutritional status adapting to the magnitude of the disaster situation and/or health emergency.

This course of nutrition and food security in emergency situations is aimed at graduates of the Health Sciences Branch within the area of ​​Dietetics, Nutrition, Nursing and Medicine. In addition to interested professionals in specializing in the intervention and nutritional approach in emergency situations, safeguarding the food security of the population at risk.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
